The Monas Journey

This is my story when I went to Monas with my senior high school friends. I was very happy because that was my first time to explore Monas with my friends. Actually our main reason to went to Monas was to take a picture (picture back ground) for our year book. Previously I felt nervous because we used mass transportation (train, bus, angkot, etc) to Monas. I was very worried with my friend, especially my woman friends because they looked very innocent and I reckoned that was their first experienced to went to monas without their parents.

February, 2009 we went to Monas by using mass transportation. First of all we altogether in our school yard and then went to bus station by motor cycle. After we arrived in bus station, we wait the bus (Patas) and the charge approximately Rp. 9000,-. On the way, I felt so bored because that was full of passenger and made me hard to breathe, but suddenly sissy from other bus came to our bus ! Gee, I was very afraid with sissy and I asked my friend to change seat position with me but he reject my request, he was afraid too. Along the journey, sissy was sang many song and I don't know exactly what the song was. Not only sissy, but also trader, singer, and so on was entertain and made bus so heat ! it was my unforgettable moment when I went to Monas with my friend, specially when the traffic.

In 11:00 am we arrived in Monas, after that we went to the canteen to bought some food while waited Adzan Dzuhur. In that moment I felt so happy because we can built togetherness in our diversity. My class member had a different belief each other. And give thanks to God, it wasn't block our friendship. After done Moslem obligate (shalat), all of the member went to the Monas building. It was very high and big, the color was white and the top of Monas had a brass that covered by gold.

The interior of Monas was covered by marble but unfortunately many space in Monas wasn't maintained well and full of dust, that was made Monas looked very dirty. After walk around the Monas, we prepared our self to take a picture and decided location in Monas that would be our picture back ground. And finally, we have decided to take a picture in the outside of Monas, because Monas surrounded by beautiful and high building, such as Bank Indonesia Building, Mandiri Bank Building, and Indosat building and we thought that was unique view.

After took a picture, we prepared our self to come back to Bekasi. We got back to Bekasi by mass transportation again, but now we used train because if we used bus, we thought that it would spent many time caused by traffic jam. So we went to Gambir which location near the Monas to bought ticket. In the ticket counter there were a lot of peoples who would buy a ticket, so we should be patient to queued. After we got the ticket we waited for a moment for the train and by the chance the train came soon after we got the ticket.

Finally we arrived in Bekasi train station, approximately we spent an hour to reached there. After that we went to bus station to took our motorcycle by Angkot (Bekasi mass transportation) and came back to house. Eventually, I got many worth thing from that journey, it was friendship, team work, and patient. That journey was opened my eyes that team work should build in every opportunity.
