last week i spent my idul fitri holiday in my beloved hometown (BEKASI OH MY LOVE). i was shocked when first time i arrived in bekasi. bekasi was so different, specially the main street of bekasi which was the way to go to the mayor office of bekasi. the street was splendid, no garbage or dull scenary along the street. there were many new buildings in bekasi. some of them had nice shape and color, made my eyes so fresh when i painted the city with my brother.
o, i almost forget. fyi, bekasi was one of the cities in indonesia which got an amazing award from the ministry of environment of indonesia. bekasi was awarded a prize for the cleanest metropolitan city in indonesia. it made me felt proud to be a citizen of bekasi. at least i found one thing that could be used by me to show up my city to my friends in yogya.
bekasi is a potential city in west java. the location is so splendid, it is among the capital of indonesia/jakarta and the capital city of west java province/bandung. there were many shopping arcade in bekasi. let say Metropolitan Mall, Bekasi Cyber Park, Mega Bekasi Hypermall, Bekasi Square, Ace Hard ware building, and also long lines of city store along the street of Jend. Ahmad Yani. all the location of the shopping arcade are in the same area. so you could reach many malls and shopping centers only by walking.
nowadays, bekasi is being told by many people in indonesia. because it's not only potential for shopping but also for the people who are looking for the best residential area. there are many residential area in bekasi and all of them are so nice. some of them are Galaxi, Kemang, Summaracon, etc. those are the biggest residential area in bekasi.
unfortunately, there are still many lackness of bekasi. especially the society of bekasi itself. they are so ignorant to care to the cleaness of the city. it makes me confused actually, how did the gov of the city control the society to respect to the environment until the city got Kalpataru award if the society was so ignorant to keep clean the city? THINK ABOUT IT..
